After placing the new G5RV in the trees on Thursday, I activated several Parks On The Air (POTA) stations via my Back Porch on The Air (BPOTA) station today.

Keith, that’s great! I love the BPOTA station! 🙂 I’ve operated “lawnmower portable” (sitting on my riding mower and using its battery for power) in the past. And some of the most fun I’ve had as a ham was sitting under my dogwood tree, with an FT-817 and a barley-pop, working VK and ZL on five watts from a gel-cell. (Though Mrs Ken made me put up my pipes years ago.) Hope you keep the BPOTA station busy this summer! 73! –ken ac4rd (no longer at D00k)
