Watch this page for developments about OCRA’s HSMM voice, data and imaging network as it’s perfected and deployed over the coming months. Our goal is to provide you with proven, practical information to enable you to easily duplicate our results with a minimum of frustration.
As of May 2010, OCRA has installed a test HSMM bridge repeater station, co-located with the OCRA 442.150MHz repeater. The station uses a Ubiquiti 2HP “bullet” which transmits about 1,000mW on the 2.4GHz Amateur Band. Testing is being done to determine the distances from which the station can be worked. Further technical information about both the hardware and software are expected to be forthcoming very soon.
Effective October 13, the Orange County HSMM Special Interest Group was granted the callsign WI4FI.
